Full Story Summary (Easy Version)
Velu is a hardworking farmer. For 6 years, his land gave good crops (jowar and dhal). But this year, no rain comes. Fields crack and dry up. Everyone is sad and hopeless. Velu tries everything – astrologers, weather office – but nothing works. He sits under a tree, tired and angry. An old wise woman (Amma) talks to him. She smiles and explains: "The land also needs rest, like you!" Velu understands that nature is wise. Suddenly, clouds gather, and rain starts! Velu runs home happy. The story ends with hope.
